Unity Night

It is a great honor that Rhode Island DeMolay has been asked to participate in the Unity Night.

Here we are, February, and the Fraternal Relations Unity Night has come and gone. This was a fantastic evening, where the heads of all our Masonic bodies were welcomed and escorted by our young men in Rhode Island DeMolay, as well as the young ladies from Rhode Island IORG. On this evening the state was introduced to our new State Master Councilor, Brother Joseph Harrison. Joe is a Past Master Councilor of Fidelity Chapter, and we are looking forward to a great year with him. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Also, we said goodbye to our Junior Past State Master Councilor, Christopher Cate. Chris had served as our SMC for over two years and his dedication to DeMolay and the Office of SMC was tireless. Thank you Chris for all that you did, and we look forward to your continued service to DeMolay as an advisor.

The Unity Night allowed all who attended to witness for the first time in Rhode Island the public performance of the Lincoln Degree. This degree had been a closed degree under the Scottish Rite and was recently opened for public viewing. This was an enjoyable evening and the performances by the Valley of Providence Scottish Rite Degree Team were outstanding. Thank you to all that made this degree the success that it was.

Finally I would like to thank Steven Smith, MW Grand Master of Freemasons in RI and the Grand Matron and Grand Patron of the Grand Chapter OES for their gracious invitation that was extended to our young men.
